Our Counselling is a professional relationship process that provides a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can discuss your concerns with us. Counselling is generally short-term and provides assistance with immediate problems related to every day life. We are trained to carefully listen, raise awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and physiological responses related to your concerns. It is mainly goal oriented and solution focused in order to facilitate stress reduction and healthier ways of coping.

Psychotherapy is a professional non-judgemental relationship process that provides a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can discuss your deeper and longer-standing concerns with us. Psychotherapy is a longer-term process. The process explores the deeper meaning, vision and the purpose of your life. It involves a deeper journey and insight of how your conscious and unconscious mind works together to contribute to the creation of your life. Psychotherapy addresses the automatic and habituated thoughts, feelings, physiological responses, and behaviours developed in the earlier times of your life. We have specialist training and skills to assist you in developing more choiceful, authentic, and creative ways of Being. Psychotherapy brings freedom from the limitation of the past resulting in more presence and engagement in the immediacy of life. It brings lasting positive changes.
Not all Psychotherapists have mental health training backgrounds. At the Fremantle Counselling & Psychological Services all practitioners have both psychological mental health training, and advanced psychotherapy training that is internationally recognised and accredited.
Psychological Therapy involves a professional clinical diagnostic assessment and the development of a treatment plan based on based on the diagnosis. It has a counselling focus directed to mental health concerns. Psychological Therapists have often trained in either Psychology, and or Clinical Mental Health Social Work. Psychological therapy differs from psychotherapy in that a psychotherapist has additional years beyond university training of specific psychotherapeutic approaches such as Gestalt Therapy, Jungian therapy, Hakomi Therapy, and Psychoanalytic Therapy. However not all Psychotherapists have mental health psychological training.
At Fremantle Counselling & Psychological Services all practitioners have both psychological mental health, and additional advanced psychotherapeutic trainings.

Meditation is a deeply relaxing and natural process that can help to restore balance and harmony in the mind and body. Meditation offers many health benefits along a continuum from simple stress management to more heightened states of awareness and spiritual experiences. Some of the benefits of meditation include:

Deeper states of relaxation involve some light hypnotic techniques, both contemporary and more ancient approaches. When the body and mind are relaxed a healing zone emerges where the body-mind enter into an optimum state of regeneration and repair.
Transpersonal Psychotherapy is an approach that acknowledges that our fundamental humanity is inter-connected to a reality that not only includes our relationship with the earth but also with a broader conscious cosmos. Many of have a deeper sense of something greater within ourselves and around us yet we find it hard to make rational sense of. We question our soul’s purpose, deeper meaning in life, how the tiny physical speck of us is connected to the vast universe and a spiritual Self.
Transpersonal therapy provides an opportunity to explore a person’s experience of spirituality, mystical, religious, super-natural, near death experiences, deeper intuitions, synchronicities, dreams and vision, and their connection with consciousness connected to yet also possibly beyond the brain function.
The focus of Transpersonal Psychotherapy transcends our pure ego identification and explores our sense of Self that experiences unity, belonging and interconnectedness with all of Life that deep inside many of us feel exists.
Transpersonal Psychotherapy is an approach that goes beyond the boarders of pure psychological functioning. It is a therapy that is congruous with many recent scientific findings in quantum consciousness, and non-local consciousness.
Professional Supervision & Mentoring
We have specialist training and registration in Professional Supervision. We offer clinical supervision to practicing professionals, and students in the area of psychology, clinical social work, counselling and psychotherapy. Supervision can be offered in individual and group format.
The supervision process is tailored to best meet your professional learning and personal development style and support needs.
A mentorship program is also available for professionals wishing to develop their unique and creative visionary practice.
Upon meeting with any of the Fremantle Counselling & Psychological therapists, your needs, and therapeutic processes applicable to your needs will be discussed with you. All services offered are in consultation with you and work within your boundary of comfort and interest.
